EHR Implementation & Practice Technology

Your EHR should make the practice faster. We select it, implement it, connect it, and hold the vendor accountable — without taking a commission from any of them.

Engagement at a glance

  • Engagement modelFixed-fee project or monthly technology retainer
  • IndependenceNo vendor commissions or referral fees, ever
  • DocumentationRequirements, decision log, test scripts and runbooks
  • TrainingRole-based training with competency checks, not a webinar
  • SupportPost-go-live hypercare for 30 days, then a support retainer option
  • ReportingOperational dashboards your managers actually use

Automation payback

For the reporting and workflow automations we build most often.

The problem

Software is not the answer. Configuration and workflow are.

Practices change EHRs for good reasons and then lose six months to a bad implementation: templates nobody redesigned, fee schedules imported wrong, interfaces that drop orders, and staff trained on the demo environment rather than their own workflows.

We stay vendor-neutral and take no referral fees. We write the requirements, run the demos, check references only your peers can give, review the contract for the clauses that hurt later, and then run implementation as a project with a test plan and a go-live that has a fallback position.

After go-live we tidy up what implementations usually leave rough: template and order-set design, fee schedule and charge master alignment, interoperability and interfaces, reporting, and the automation that removes double entry between systems.

What's included

Everything in this service, in writing.

Selection & contract review

Requirements, weighted scoring, vendor demos, reference calls, total cost of ownership modelling, and contract and BAA review.

Implementation management

Project plan, configuration decisions, build oversight, testing, training plan and a documented go-live readiness review.

Data migration & validation

Chart, demographic, balance and document migration with reconciliation counts and a clinical spot-check before cutover.

Interfaces & interoperability

HL7 and FHIR interfaces, lab and imaging connections, e-prescribing, immunisation registries, and HIE participation.

Automation & reporting

Scheduled reports and dashboards, plus automation that removes manual data entry between the EHR, the lab, the payer portals and finance.

Security & resilience

Access reviews, MFA, backup and recovery testing, breach response planning and HIPAA Security Rule alignment.

How it runs

The engagement, step by step.

01

Requirements & baseline

We document how work actually flows today, where the friction is, and what the new system must do — in measurable terms.

FAQ

Common questions.

Which EHR should we choose?
It depends on your specialty, size, payer mix, and how much you want to own versus rent. For most small and mid-size practices the shortlist is Athena, eCW, NextGen, Tebra or a specialty system like ModMed. We will give you a ranked recommendation with the trade-offs written down, and we will not take a cent from any vendor.
Can you fix our current EHR instead of replacing it?
Frequently yes. A large share of 'we need a new EHR' problems are template, fee schedule, interface and training problems. We will tell you honestly whether you are looking at a configuration fix or a platform problem.
How do you handle data migration risk?
Reconciliation counts at every stage, a clinical spot-check of migrated charts, dual running where practical, and a documented rollback plan for go-live weekend. Migration failures are usually validation failures.
Do you support the system after go-live?
Yes, either as a defined hypercare period followed by a support retainer, or as part of a broader operations engagement where we also manage billing and reporting.
Can you build reporting our managers will use?
That is usually the fastest win. Most practices have data they cannot see. We build a small number of reports that answer real questions — provider productivity, schedule utilisation, A/R by payer, no-show rate — and retire everything nobody reads.
